On February 21 (the 5th day of Tet), Bac Nha Trang Ward Police (Khanh Hoa province) said that the unit had received and returned property to people who dropped it, after a Norwegian tourist voluntarily handed over the wallet he picked up.
Previously, on February 20, Ms. Hanne Helene Su - a Norwegian tourist staying at a hotel on Ly Thai To street (Bac Nha Trang ward) picked up a wallet on Luong Son pass road.
On the morning of February 21, she brought all her assets to Bac Nha Trang Ward Police to report and ask to find the owner.
After checking the papers inside the wallet, the police quickly identified the owner as Mr. Phan Chi Trung, residing in Phu Hoi 2, Van Thang commune and contacted and invited him to the police agency.
Representatives of Bac Nha Trang Ward Police directly returned assets including: 2 citizen identification cards, 1 driver's license, 1 vehicle registration certificate, 3 bank cards and 3,910,000 VND in cash to Mr. Trung.
Receiving the property back, Mr. Phan Chi Trung expressed his emotion and sent his sincere thanks to Ms. Hanne Helene Su for her honest action. At the same time, he thanked the North Nha Trang Ward Police for their quick and enthusiastic support.
Representatives of the North Nha Trang Ward Police said that the female tourist's actions are a beautiful action, contributing to spreading the civilized and friendly image of Nha Trang tourist destination at the beginning of the new year.
