Giving out cans, receiving smiles
In the heart of the bustling city of Can Tho, every night, the sound of the wheel rolls carrying scrap metal, containing the warm hearts of the group of young people "NT Ve chai Can Tho". The group consists of 3 members: Nguyen Phu Khang (16 years old), Chau Thi Phuong Thao and Dinh Thi Hong Ngan (27 years old), they are the ones who turned their small actions into a touching story about humanity.

When night falls, instead of resting after a tiring day of studying and working, 3 young people roam around central streets, picking up plastic bottles, cans, things that others have left behind, lying around on the streets or in the restaurant.
On each scrap of scrap metal, the line "Give me plastic bottles and cans, I will bring smiles on your behalf" is a promise, a sincere sharing, that the group has been doing for the past 2 years.

Not only stopping at picking up scrap metal to clean the streets, after collecting it, the group also gave it to poor workers, who are struggling to make a living by picking up scrap metal in the area.
Sharing about the group's work, Phuong Thao said that seeing the old and weak chicks and uncles, even though it was raining and windy, still trying to pick up the canvas on the roadside, they felt sorry and wanted to share. Therefore, before cycling around for exercise, you have prepared a plastic trophy, reflective shirt, sack and glove to pick up the cans and plastic bottles to give to the teachers.
"On the way, if we have the chance to meet any uncles and aunts, we will give them to them. This is a meaningful work, so we want to develop this activity further, Phuong Thao said.

Their journey is not full of roses. The stormy nights, the cold deserted roads, the tired eyes of those who pick up scrap metal, all are deeply rooted in the minds of young people. However, when giving away bottles, sending greetings, comfort... and receiving the warm, fresh smiles of the uncles and aunts, the group of young people felt extremely happy.
Slightly missing, I feel very sad
For the young group, this is a balanced job and also contributes to environmental protection. In particular, this journey helps them understand many unfortunate situations around them, thereby also learning to appreciate their current life more.

Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Thuy (65 years old, Cai Rang district) emotionally said: "These children are very kind, not only giving me scrap metal, but also asking questions and encouraging me. Thanks to that, I also feel comforted and live happier. Now that I am used to it, when I miss a few people, I feel very sad.
Full bottles of scrap are not only material, but also emotional, caring. In addition to giving scrap metal, the group also organizes 0 VND meals, bringing warm meals to homeless people.

Every night, this meaningful journey was filmed by the group and posted on social networking sites to spread the message of love. And then, all the clips after being posted received attention from the online community.
Many people have praised and admired your simple but precious deeds. They are like small fires, but have lit up the entire path they have taken.
