On January 12, 2026, Central Military Hospital 108 successfully deployed a multi-organ transplant from a brain-dead donor who is a medical staff member. That noble gesture not only revived many lives but also deeply spread the humanistic and medical ethics of the medical industry.
The donor is a female medical staff (46 years old) diagnosed with brain death due to brain hemorrhage. In the moment of extreme pain, the family made a very humane decision: to donate tissues and organs of relatives to save patients who are close to the boundary of life and death.
Although no longer present, that doctor continued his journey to save people in the most special way - giving life to strangers. A silent but great continuation of the mission of wearing a white blouse.
From 10 am on the same day, Central Military Hospital 108 organized a nearly two-hour professional consultation with the participation of experts inside and outside the hospital. The consultation was chaired by Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Le Huu Song - Director of Central Military Hospital 108 - to comprehensively assess the condition of donors and patients waiting for transplants.
Based on the consultation conclusions and directions of the Head of the Hospital, the Organ Transplant Center and specialized units quickly developed a plan for receiving, taking and transplanting multiple organs, ensuring strict compliance with professional procedures, safety and efficiency.
Close coordination between surgical teams, resuscitation, anesthesia, testing, organ transplant coordination... has created an accurate, urgent but controlled chain of activities - the decisive factor for the success of the transplant.
From the benevolence of the donor, many lives have been revived. The liver was transplanted to a 36-year-old male patient who was in severe liver failure. Two kidneys were transplanted to a 37-year-old female patient and a 47-year-old male patient - who had to live dependent on dialysis for a long time.
In particular, the two corneas are coordinated to Hue Central Hospital, opening up opportunities to restore vision for patients who are waiting for light every day.
From a departure, at least five lives are continued - that is the greatest meaning of organ donation.
The decision to donate organs in a painful situation not only saved many lives but also strongly spread the message of compassion, sharing spirit and social responsibility of doctors.

Currently, professional teams continue to closely monitor the post-transplant condition, care for and complete professional stages to ensure long-term results for patients.
Each multi-organ transplant is the crystallization of intelligence, bravery and dedication of the team of doctors and nurses. It is a journey that extends life, where modern medicine meets the deepest human values.

From successful transplants, hearts that know how to give and dedicated doctors and nurses, the journey of reviving life is still being continued - quietly but extremely strongly.
