On April 7, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital said that the Young Doctors Association and the Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital have coordinated with the Provincial Young Doctors Association, Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association and local organizations to organize the program "Doctors return to the village" in Nam Khanh Vinh commune.
The program aims to respond to the "Giving Love" journey in 2026 of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa province and practically celebrate World Health Day.
This is a meaningful activity, implemented right in the first months after the Young Doctors Association of Khanh Hoa General Hospital was established (February 2026), demonstrating the spirit of pioneering and creativity for the community, while contributing to the implementation of the policy of strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health in the new situation.
At the program, doctors and nurses organized medical examinations, screening and free medicine distribution for about 300 people, prioritizing the elderly, women and children.
In addition, the working group conducts screening and early detection of non-communicable diseases through measuring blood pressure, blood sugar, assessing BMI; screening for common diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cancer.
In addition to medical examination and treatment activities, people are also provided with comprehensive health advice, including disease prevention guidance, reasonable nutrition; health care for the elderly and children; mental health advice and vaccination.
Not only stopping at medical care, the program also presented about 50 livelihood gifts to support people to improve their lives and develop the economy; and presented 300 social security gifts to households in difficult circumstances.
Notably, the delegation also supported the installation of water purifiers for schools in the area, contributing to improving learning conditions and health care for students.
