According to Hung Yen Provincial Police, on August 1, 2026, Dien Ha Commune Police received a report from Ms. Le Thi Tin (born in 1956, residing in Tam Nong village, Dien Ha commune) about her daughter, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang (born in 1991), suffering from mental illness, and her grandson Le Van Minh (born in 2019, daughter of Ms. Le Thi Nga - Ms. Hang's younger sister) leaving the house.
Immediately after receiving the report, Dien Ha Commune Police urgently organized forces, deployed synchronous professional measures to verify and search; and at the same time coordinated with forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, villages and people to review the area, and notify the identifying characteristics of the two cases to neighboring localities for coordination and support.
After nearly two days of active searching, at about 8 pm on August 2, 2026, Dien Ha Commune Police identified and found Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang and her nephew Le Van Minh in Long Hung commune, Hung Yen province.
Immediately after that, the police force promptly approached, encouraged, ensured safety for the two citizens and took them to a medical facility for examination and health check. After determining that the health of Ms. Hang and baby Minh was stable, the commune police completed the necessary procedures and handed over the two citizens to their families safely.
Moved by the spirit of responsibility and dedication of the Police force, Ms. Le Thi Tin's family sent deep thanks to officers and soldiers of Dien Ha Commune Police and other forces and people for actively coordinating and supporting the search process, helping relatives return to reunite with their families soon.
Through the incident, Dien Ha Commune Police recommends that people strengthen the management of people with mental illnesses, the elderly, people with memory decline and young children; when detecting a lost relative, they should immediately report to the Police agency for timely support.
