Ms. Phuong's journey of compassion began when she was still a high school girl. "Back then, I didn't have the economic conditions, so whatever anyone called me to do, I did it. Mainly putting in effort, following delegations to carry things, giving gifts directly to people," Ms. Phuong recalled.
It was those years of being a "body-carrying soldier" that further nurtured the love for charity work. Two years ago, the Chuong My Green Germ Nurturing Charity Club was officially established. To have funds, she and her members did not hesitate to sell from popcorn bags, fruits to small items, collecting every penny of little profit to put into the gift fund.
From flood-stricken areas in the Central region such as Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen... wherever it is needed, I am present." Especially during the peak Tet holiday, Ms. Phuong's schedule is packed with 4 continuous trips.
Each trip is a touching story, she will always remember the time she went to La Lay (Quang Tri), witnessing the scene of two sick grandparents lying in a house without electricity, her child being naive. Without anyone telling anyone, she and the members of the delegation took money out of their own pockets, some 500 thousand, some one million to give directly to the family. “Many times looking at the people's circumstances, I feel so lucky and happy. That is the motivation for me not to stop,” she shared.
Ms. Phuong's transparency and dedication have left deep impressions in the hearts of local authorities and teachers in mountainous areas. In a thank-you letter sent to the Club, Mr. Le Minh Ai - Principal of A Bung Primary & Secondary School (La Lay commune, Quang Tri province) expressed his appreciation for the more than 500 gifts that Ms. Phuong and the delegation handed over to students at Cu Tai, Cap and Pi Re school sites: "These are meaningful gifts, not only helping students have better learning conditions but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for them to overcome difficulties and train.
Ms. Phuong currently has two children in 8th and 9th grade. Although the children are busy studying, she still takes advantage of taking her children with her on field trips. She wants her children to see their peers walking in the cold rain, not having enough clothes to wear so that the children know how to change their attitude to life, know how to share and cherish what they have.

Ms. Phuong's journey usually starts on Friday afternoon after work and ends on Sunday night to be on time for Monday morning to be at work again. The mountain passes, the sleepless nights driving does not make her flinch. Because for this woman, each trip is a "seeding", and the joy of the people is the warmest spring she receives: "Before, I kept saying why am I so miserable, but after going, I realized I am not miserable at all".
People like Ms. Phuong are contributing to writing humane songs, turning kindness into a spreading energy, making this life more worth living than ever.
