Crossing the forest to give Tet gifts to the Dan Lai ethnic people

Nghe An – Volunteers crossed streams and forests to give Tet gifts to the Dan Lai ethnic minority people in Con Cuong district.

On the first day of the new year 2025, the volunteer group "Thanh Vinh Congee Pot of Love" coordinated with the Con Cuong Red Cross Society to organize the 4th "Warm Tet - Loving Spring" program in Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong district, with the support of Hop Manh Company Limited, Quan Com Xua and kind-hearted people in Vinh city.

Overcoming the difficult mountainous journey, the delegation presented 83 gifts (including cash, oil, fish sauce, instant noodles, seasoning powder, cakes, candies, milk) to 32 poor households in the outer cluster and 51 poor households in Khe Nong cluster; 32 gifts (school bags, warm clothes, notebooks, sandals) to poor students who overcame difficulties and studied well in Khe Nong cluster, Chau Son village, Chau Khe commune, Con Cuong district, with a total value of nearly 55 million VND.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Pham Trong Binh - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Chairman of the Con Cuong District Red Cross Society shared: "Chau Son village is a poor village of Chau Khe commune, 100% of the households are Dan Lai ethnic people, today's volunteer activities have contributed to the local government to support people to have a warmer Tet, multiplying the gesture of compatriots, so that no one is left behind".
