Previously, at 10:20 PM on February 16, Quang Lap Commune Police received a report about a "Robbery of property" case that occurred at Kim Luong gold shop (Quang Thuan village, Quang Lap commune).
The gold shop owner, Ms. Huynh Thi Lan (born 1977), reported that 2 young men drove a black Air Blade motorbike, wearing masks and helmets into the shop pretending to ask to buy goods and then suddenly snatched a necklace and a bracelet, worth a total of about 74 million VND. After that, the subjects quickly escaped.
Immediately after receiving the news, Major General Truong Minh Duong - Director of the Provincial Police and Colonel Dau Xuan Bao - Deputy Director, Head of the Investigation Police Agency directly directed the Criminal Police Department to coordinate with professional departments and grassroots police to urgently deploy professional measures and organize a hot investigation overnight.
By synchronous professional measures, by 3:00 PM on February 17 (the 1st day of Tet), functional forces had identified and arrested 2 perpetrators including: Le Anh Huy (born 2008, residing in Quang Loi village, Quang Lap commune) and Tran Do Thanh Phong (born 2008, residing in Quang Thuan village, Quang Lap commune).
Currently, the police agency has seized the means of committing the crime along with all the snatched property. At the investigating agency, the subjects confessed to their crimes.
The rapid investigation and arrest of the subjects, clarifying the case right during the Lunar New Year, shows the high sense of responsibility and determination of Lam Dong Provincial Police in the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime.
Thereby, practically responding to the "3 most" emulation movement launched by the Ministry of Public Security: "Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people", contributing to maintaining security and order, ensuring peace for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police in accordance with the law.
