Accelerate key projects
According to the plan, right from the beginning of 2026, Lam Dong province will focus on accelerating the progress of a series of strategic transport projects such as the North-South high-speed railway; North-South expressway in the West (Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section); Bao Loc - Lien Khuong and Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressways.
Along with that are projects to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B, Dao Nghia - Quang Khe route. The province also coordinates to renovate provincial roads 1, 2, 3, 5 in Dak Nong (old).
In particular, Lam Dong is selecting investors for the civil aviation item at Phan Thiet Airport.
According to Mr. Le Ngoc Tien, Director of Lam Dong Department of Construction, the unit is actively advising the Provincial People's Committee to supplement planning and coordinate investment promotion for key projects such as upgrading Lien Khuong Airport to international standard 4E.
At the same time, prepare conditions to deploy regional connecting expressways including Da Lat - Nha Trang, Phan Thiet - Bao Loc - Gia Nghia, Pleiku - Buon Ma Thuot - Gia Nghia.
To ensure that key projects, especially transport projects, are implemented on schedule, Lam Dong province identifies public investment as the leading role.
In which, priority budget is given to inter-regional connecting routes serving tourism, agriculture and urban development.
The province is committed to disbursing capital right from the beginning of the year, avoiding spreading; and at the same time promoting socialization, calling on businesses to participate in large-scale projects in the form of public-private partnerships (PPP).
This is a key solution to reduce the pressure on the state budget; take advantage of central resources through coordination with ministries and sectors to propose capital support for inter-regional projects beyond the province's balancing capacity; and improve the investment environment by completing planning and administrative procedures, creating confidence for investors," Mr. Le Ngoc Tien emphasized.
Clearly identify priority projects
According to leaders of Lam Dong province, the long-term goal is to form a green and modern transportation system, develop multimodal transportation and logistics, creating a foundation for sustainable development and strengthening regional linkages.
In the new context with many intertwined advantages and challenges, the list of priority projects has been clearly identified to serve the goal of regional linkage and marine economic development.
Resolution of the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 – 2030, stipulates that for the railway sector, priority will be given to connection projects serving the North-South high-speed railway.
Regarding expressways, the province focuses on the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong route (including Tan Phu - Bao Loc, Bao Loc - Lien Khuong); Nha Trang - Lien Khuong expressway; Gia Nghia - Phan Thiet and North - South expressway to the West (Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section).
For national and provincial roads, Lam Dong prioritizes renovating and upgrading National Highways 27, 28, 55 and the Gia Nghia - Bao Lam dynamic route; and at the same time focuses on projects serving the national coastal road.
The aviation sector continues to be concerned with the plan to upgrade and expand Lien Khuong International Airport and civil aviation items at Phan Thiet Airport.
Right at the beginning of 2026, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province assigned the Department of Finance to take the lead in coordinating with relevant units to review and balance capital sources, ensuring "capital waiting for projects", not allowing projects to wait for capital.
