On February 19, information from Hop Luc International General Hospital (Dao Duy Tu ward, Thanh Hoa province) said that on the evening of the 2nd day of Tet (ie February 18), the hospital received injured victims in the mine-throwing incident that occurred in Nghi Son ward.

Immediately after receiving them, the hospital mobilized maximum doctors and nurses to implement initial emergency measures for 10 victims.
Through examination, doctors determined that among the 10 victims, there were 2 cases of minor injuries, which were treated on the spot and discharged after stabilization. The remaining 8 cases suffered severe multiple injuries, were hospitalized in a state of shock, low blood pressure, and severe blood loss.
Doctors urgently handled initially, bandaged to stop the bleeding, infused fluids, reduced pain and stabilized hemodynamics. After being treated to stabilize vital signs, 6 patients were transferred to higher levels for continued treatment.
The two patients who were indicated for emergency surgery were treated for injuries and foreign objects removed that night. Currently, both are awake and are being monitored at the Department of Trauma Surgery of the hospital.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 6:45 pm on February 18, at the family of Mr. Le The H. (born 1974, residing in Bac Hai residential group, Nghi Son ward, Thanh Hoa province), a suspected use of homemade explosives occurred in the living room area, injuring 10 people. The victims were then taken to emergency care and treatment at medical facilities in the area.
Upon receiving the news, Major General To Anh Dung - Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police - directly arrived at the scene, directing forces to urgently deploy rescue and relief work and organize investigation to clarify the case.
At the scene, Major General To Anh Dung directed professional units to urgently verify the cause and motive of the crime; focus on collecting documents and evidence; comprehensively review the related subjects; and at the same time deploy measures to grasp the situation, promptly reassure public opinion, and prevent complications in security and order.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified.
