According to Railway Traffic Police Team No. 2, in the face of the increasing trend of traffic accidents at level crossings, the unit has requested Da Nang Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Company to extract camera data at intersections to detect cases of intentional violations.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered a training car with the act of crossing a level crossing when the no-entry signal had been turned on.
Camera data shows that at about 7:28 am on February 27, at Km1007+950 of the North - South railway line (belonging to Hoai Nhon ward, Gia Lai province), a training car with license plate 77B-025. 33 crossed the level crossing when the red light was turned on and the barrier was lowering.
Upon receiving information, on March 10, Tuy Phuoc Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police) invited the vehicle driver Nguyen Cong T. (residing in Hoai Nhon ward) to work. Through that, functional forces made a record of handling violations for the act of "crossing the level crossing when the red light has been turned on".
For this violation, driver T. was fined 5 million VND and had his driver's license revoked for a period of 2 months.
According to functional agencies, the above vehicle belongs to a driving training center in Quy Nhon. This is a dangerous act, potentially posing a risk of serious traffic accidents, especially when the vehicle is in the driving training process and the driver is not proficient in handling situations.
Functional forces requested driving training centers to strengthen management, rectify the team of driving teachers, strictly comply with regulations during training, and prevent the situation of students driving vehicles uncontrollably, causing danger to traffic participants.
