    Mr. Hoang Manh Trung, residing in hamlet 3, said that floodwater overflowed the first floor and continued to rise to the second floor. When he noticed the unusual situation, he called a car to transport refrigerators and electronic equipment out of the flooded area; household items were moved to the third floor. His family has three young children, so they prepared food, drinking water and moved the gas stove to the third floor.     Bà Hoàng Thị Chẵn, 68 tuổi, sống một mình tại thôn 3. Bà duy trì cửa hàng nhỏ bán gạo, quần áo và một số mặt hàng tạp hóa. Khi lũ tràn vào, bà phải thuê người chuyển đồ nhưng chỉ cứu được một phần tài sản. Những ngày nước bao quanh nhà, bà ở trên tầng cao, mượn bếp gas của hàng xóm để nấu cháo. Đêm nước rút, bà gần như không ngủ, tranh thủ lau rửa bùn đất. Chuyển được thứ gì thì hay thứ ấy. Người không gặp nguy hiểm đã là may rồi”, bà Chẵn nói.
    Ms. Hoang Thi Chan, 68 years old, lives alone in hamlet 3. She maintains a small store selling rice, clothes and some groceries. When the flood flooded, she had to hire people to move things, but only saved a part of her property. On days when the water surrounded her house, she stayed on the upper floor, borrowing a gas stove from her neighbor to cook porridge. At night when the water receded, she almost did not sleep, taking advantage of cleaning the mud. "Whatever could be moved, that's good. People who are not in danger are already lucky," Ms. Chan said.     Trao đổi với PV, ông Thân Văn Thu, Trưởng Phòng Kinh tế xã Thất Khê cho hay, tính đến 9h ngày 25.8, thiên tai không gây thiệt hại về người. Tuy nhiên, nước lũ đã tràn vào nhà của hơn 1.250 hộ dân. Toàn bộ số hộ bị ảnh hưởng được hỗ trợ di dời đến nơi an toàn. Thiệt hại về nhà ở ước khoảng 28 tỉ đồng. UBND xã Thất Khê đề nghị tỉnh Lạng Sơn hỗ trợ hơn 4,6 tỉ đồng để khắc phục các công trình nông nghiệp, giao thông, thủy lợi, giáo dục và triển khai vệ sinh môi trường sau lũ. Ảnh: Khánh Linh

However, floodwaters flooded into the houses of more than 1,250 households. All affected households were supported to relocate to safe places. Housing damage is estimated at 28 billion VND. That Khe Commune People's Committee proposed that Lang Son province support more than 4.6 billion VND to overcome agricultural, transportation, irrigation, education and deploy environmental sanitation after floods.
