According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, previously, on September 27, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued an official dispatch on instructions for the establishment of a concentrated Information Technology Park in Bac Ninh province.
In October 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province issued an official dispatch on researching and guiding the establishment of a concentrated information technology park in Bac Ninh province.
In December 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province also assigned the Department of Construction to speed up the planning progress of the Information Technology Park.
According to the Decision approving the 1/2000 scale construction zoning planning task, the Bac Ninh province concentrated information technology park has an area of about 274 hectares, the planning boundary belongs to the wards of Khac Niem, Vo Cuong (Bac Ninh city) and the communes of Lien Bao, Hien Van (Tien Du district).
Of which, the IT Park concentrates on about 250 hectares, the remaining 24 hectares are for external traffic routes, isolated trees, cemetery land, religion, irrigation works... The scale of the number of workers and experts is expected to be about 20,000 people.
The planning objective is to form an information technology center, create infrastructure for information technology application and development; promote the development of the information technology industry; form a research and development center for information technology products, serve training and technology transfer in the field of information technology; incubate information technology businesses...
