Commemorating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations - Publishing House of the Writers' Association issued the book "Source" - a memoir about President Ho Chi Minh selected by Duy Nguyen. The book revealed the first celebration of Uncle Ho's birthday (May 19, 1946).
In the memoir "Source", Mr. Vu Dinh Huynh - Secretary of President Ho Chi Minh during the period of 1945 - 1946 revealed that organizing Uncle Ho's birthday for the first time (May 19, 1946) in the memoir "Flying Flag Month" was special.

On the morning of May 18, Uncle Ho entered my room and said:
- Here, I would like to inform the Government members that my birthday is tomorrow. Don't forget to call the children to play with me!
I was surprised to see Uncle Ho. People are very modest, but why did they give me the right to organize my own birthday? I asked him, but he turned away. Stopping at the door, Uncle Ho added:
- Newspaper for the Central Committee and organizations that know always celebrate my birthday.
Mr. Vu Dinh Huynh immediately called many places to discuss organizing Ho Chi Minh's birthday. In places that need to be reported without a phone, he sends people to the place to report.
“The next day, the whole Hanoi shining on the color of the flag, the banners expressed the will to gain independence and congratulate Uncle Ho. Looking out the street, I saw that the electrician brothers were a little bit of the flowering light. Beautiful, typing frog drums singing around the North " - Mr. Vu Dinh Huynh continued in the memoirs.
It turns out that Uncle Ho did not celebrate his birthday. That evening, the Government welcomed Venerable d'Argenlieu from Hai Phong to pay a courtesy visit. At this time, the Vietnam - France relationship is tense, if they come without a warm welcome, it is okay, but if they have to welcome them enthusiastically, it shows that the Vietnamese Government is at a disadvantage. President Ho Chi Minh turned the social visit into his birthday greeting.
"What I believe is that for Uncle Ho, my birthday must also be a day to serve the interests of the revolution" - President Ho Chi Minh's secretary recounted.
The memoir Source includes 10 articles by veteran revolutionaries who have worked with President Ho Chi Minh for a long time: Major General Le Quang Ba (Uncle Ho returns home), Major General Le Thiet Hung (Forever grateful to You), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly - Senior Lieutenant General Chu Van Tan (A Heart According to Uncle Ho), Diplomat Le Tung Son (Uncle Ho with overseas Vietnamese), Deputy Minister Vu Anh (days Near Uncle Ho), Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang (When Meeting Uncle Ho), ...
