The source of Vietnamese comics through the world of Ty Quay

Volume 14 of the classic Vietnamese comic series - "Ty Quay" has officially been released to young readers.

The Vietnamese comic book series - “Ty Quay” has been loved and read by many generations of children for nearly three decades. The series is also considered a “monument” in the field of Vietnamese comics.

Carrying nostalgia for his mischievous childhood, artist Dao Hai (1958 - 2014) created a unique comic world revolving around the lives of Ty and Teo - two classmates living in the same dormitory, very smart but mischievous, with countless awkward, funny situations stemming from their unique pranks.

Behind each story that truly reflects the feelings, thoughts, and psychology of school age, "Ty Quay" always conveys profound, humane lessons and messages about education.

With “Ty Quay”, young readers can find their own image through the hilarious pranks, the “childish” perspectives and reasoning, the actions that may be impulsive, thoughtless, and naughty… but in the end, they are the ones who naturally draw their own lessons, change themselves to progress, without needing dogmatic or stereotypical methods.

It has been exactly 10 years since the day artist Dao Hai passed away, his colleagues have always cherished and devoted themselves to developing the series, so the books that artist Dao Hai wrote and drew are like a source that flows forever, flowing in the pens of those who wrote and drew the next volumes of this series.

With this release of volume 14, we will bring a new highlight of stories and situations that are imbued with the breath of contemporary society, because today's young readers of "Ty Quay" are living in an environment with many changes, with the strong impact of technology, thus becoming much more modern than the "first generation" of readers of Ty Quay.

In this episode, we can see the story of the Flex trend until its last breath, the explosion of e-commerce and the negative aspects of “online shopping”, along with stories about love for family, friends, pets, humorous situations about studying, exams, school… that have made the “brand” Ty Quay for many years.

The series “Ty Quay” will continue to release new episodes in the coming time, just like the source of Vietnamese comics is constantly being continued and expanded, weaving a colorful picture of childhood for generations of Vietnamese children.
