Many diverse activities will help young children form a habit of reading books and healthy entertainment to have a meaningful, inspiring and positive summer.
Vietnam – Sweden Children's Film Week
The Vietnam Film Institute in coordination with the Swedish Embassy in Vietnam and Kim Dong Publishing House organizes Vietnam - Sweden Children's Film Week, starting from June 1 - 5 at Ngoc Khanh Theater - Vietnam Film Institute (Kim Ma, Hanoi).
The program will introduce classic Swedish films and special Vietnamese animated films promising to bring a colorful cultural space for children and families.
Film Week is also an opportunity for children to access many types of art from literature to cinema, contributing to aesthetic education, nurturing the soul and developing creativity for children through cinematic works rich in human values.

Summer fun exchange with books
The event will be held at 10:00 AM on June 6th at Fahasa Tan Dinh Bookstore (Ho Chi Minh City). In order to bring children and parents a useful exchange space during the summer, the program "Happy Summer with Books" with the theme "How to choose books suitable for children & healthy entertainment methods in the 4.0 era".
In the program, speakers will talk with parents and young children about how to choose books that suit their age, preferences and emotional needs; and at the same time suggest healthy entertainment methods in the 4.0 era, helping children balance reading, playing, exercising, creating and using technology reasonably.
Weekend reading corner at Kim Dong Publishing House (Hanoi)
Read the book "Small Story Full of Love - Rose Village" at 10 am on May 30, 2026. Young children will have the opportunity to access a touching fairy tale about an old woman and her special "nephews and nieces", helping to bring unexpected but also profound moments.
Read the book Little Mouse in the "sea" of Golden Muong Flowers with young author Doan Lu Thuy Phuong at 10:00 AM on June 6, 2026. Young readers will get acquainted with young writer Doan Lu Thuy Phuong and explore the mouse world.

Reading the book "The robot thinks he is human" at 10:00 AM on June 13, 2026. The author is Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh, currently the Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences. Although he is an "amateur" writer, but with an engaging writing style and emotional messages that the author sent into the work, "The robot thinks he is human" won the Cricket Aspiration 2026 award.
Exchange "Wind-breathing windows - Xuan Quynh and the love left behind" at 10:00 AM on June 20, 2026. The book is a touching memoir by author Luu Tuan Anh - son of poet Xuan Quynh. The book brings a realistic, close and touching perspective on mother, playwright Luu Quang Vu, and his younger brothers in the family.
Traveling "Wround the World" at 10:00 AM on June 27, 2026 will take young readers to each country in the world to explore. The book set also helps children have the opportunity to visit many countries and famous places as well as learn more about cultural traditions and festivals everywhere in the world.
