The story of building Vietnam's sports economy continues to be mentioned through the Forum held for the third time on March 27. There, huge numbers, lessons, experiences, directions, assessments, opinions, proposals... are given. However, before dreaming of the grandeur that the sports economy can bring, ask the question of how good the sticky rice package and quality football match are, what value they bring?
Why is the sports economy in many countries and regions developing strongly? Not because they are already rich, but because they know how to create things to sell. And sell regularly. With Vietnam, the story is somewhat the opposite. There is no shortage of sports events, but the value brought to the community is not high, of course, it does not create flow. Meanwhile, the market economy needs cash flow.
People still mention the number of spectators in the V.League besides grassroots football tournaments or volleyball tournaments in village associations as a way to explain why Vietnamese sports products are not of sufficient quality to promote the sports economy.
Here, it is true that there are still many other related issues that require coordination, but the root is still that events and tournaments must be "products" in the true sense to sell, and the pillar is thinking.

On the contrary, it is the market that nurtures sustainable achievements. Without viewers, without payers, it is very difficult to survive for a long time with the budget.
What do we have to sell, and how well can we do it? Focus on that, when products are good enough, uniform enough, familiar enough, the economic wheel will have enough power to rotate. Achievement, then, is no longer a goal to chase after, but becomes a consequence.
