On the afternoon of October 5, female student L.V.G.N (16 years old, grade 11A6 student, Nong Cong 2 High School) saw a group of students fighting on her way home from school, so she intervened to stop them. Unexpectedly, many female students rushed in and "beat her up". According to some clips provided by her family, N. was hit on the head and neck with helmets by many female students and kicked brutally with her hands and feet.
N. suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalized in the emergency room. She is currently being treated at Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi). N. was diagnosed with a fracture of the second cervical vertebra and two little fingernails were detached from her fingers.
It's so horrible, I can't imagine that a student, a female student, could beat you so cruelly.
Through this incident, we can see why when a student was beaten by a group of people, no one intervened but just took out their phones to record and post it online, because if they intervened, they would likely become victims of those who were drunk on "thugs".
What is happening to our children? Is it the fault of the school, the family or society?
We cannot blame the school or society, but must affirm that educating children is first and foremost the responsibility of parents. A disciplined family and proper education of children are the foundation for children to grow up and become decent people.
The "root cause of violence" of female students who gang up on their friends, even brutally beat up a female student who tried to stop them, is not from the school. No teacher or school teaches students that. Parents must take responsibility.
Society is a fairly broad concept, analysts say, many conflicts leading to violence originate from social networks, young people compete with each other on social networks leading to payments in "real life". Not to mention violent movies also have an impact on young people's psychology.
The responsibility of the school must be mentioned, that is the teaching of teachers, the educational program associated with life skills, the practical content with the psychological and emotional development of the age. But school education is not enough to prevent school violence.
Faced with the increasing situation of school violence, in addition to family and school education, stronger measures are needed to prevent it. That is, there are sanctions for cases of violent behavior, harming the health, spirit and honor of others.
Until now, school violence cases have often been resolved in a "peaceful" manner, with leniency towards the perpetrators. This is unfair to the victims, and also causes others to disregard the law.
