The Vietnam Fatherland Front is a broad political alliance, voluntary union of political, socio-political, social organizations and typical individuals in all classes, ethnicities, religions, and Vietnamese people at home and abroad. With that position, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is the place to gather, listen, connect and promote the strength of the People. If the Party sets out guidelines, the State institutionalizes and organizes the implementation of policies, then the Vietnam Fatherland Front plays a very important role in bringing guidelines and policies to the people, and at the same time bringing the voice, thoughts, and legitimate aspirations of the people to the Party and the State.
Promoting the role of the People's subject first of all means respecting the People, believing in the People and relying on the People. This is not a general slogan, but must be expressed by specific mechanisms so that people can know, discuss, do, inspect, supervise and benefit. In this task, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has a special advantage, because it has a widespread organizational system, close to the people, close to the people, close to grassroots life. Through campaigns, patriotic emulation movements, supervisory activities, social criticism, voter contact, and taking people's opinions, the Front contributes to making socialist democracy more substantive.
In the context of the country entering a new stage of development, the requirement to promote the strength of great national unity is becoming increasingly urgent. The process of renovation, integration, digital transformation, green economic development, reform of the apparatus, arrangement of administrative units, building two-level local government... all have a profound impact on people's lives. These major tasks can only be successful when there is widespread social consensus. The Vietnam Fatherland Front must therefore continue to play a good role as a bridge between the Party, the State and the people; between the Party's will and the people's hearts; between the goal of national development and the essential interests of each citizen.
The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031, is the place where people place their trust and expectations in the process of constantly innovating the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, putting people's lives at the center, and taking the happiness and satisfaction of the people as the striving goals of the Fatherland Front system.
When the Front continues to affirm itself as a place where the people place their trust, a channel to truthfully reflect the voice of the people, and a core force in building social consensus, the strength of the People and the great national unity bloc will be strongly promoted, becoming a huge resource to bring the country to develop quickly and sustainably in the new era in accordance with the spirit of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.
