There are people who have won so many times that they cannot be counted, but I am sure that, to achieve that, failure is indispensable on the path. Don't we still say "failure is a successful mother"?
Losing does not mean an end but an opportunity to learn, to mature. But what I want to say here is, when understanding one's abilities, understanding one's problems, and properly accepting defeat is also worth noting. This is something many former Malaysian football players mentioned when talking about the recent incident with the country's football scene. Vietnamese football has also been raised with a similar issue, but looking at it more broadly, it is not only for the pitch, for sports, but useful for all social life.
First of all, it is a proper loss to dare to face it. Many people choose to blame the situation, others, and the "black luck". But a proper loss is when we take responsibility, learn lessons, and stand up with alertness.
Losing is a reminder to look back at the concept of success. We cannot build community trust on victories through shortcomings. A football establishment, a business, or a person is only truly strong when they know how to overcome the limits themselves, do not borrow, do not fake.
Proper loss is to maintain dignity, even though the results are not as expected, the way of behaving still retains respect, honesty and professionalism. Maintaining a face-to-face attitude helps yourself mature.
Losing regularly is also an opportunity to transform, from looking back at why they lost, what they lacked, where they were wrong, what they had to do differently... Usually people want to win, want to succeed, but if they only win by short-term, then they and the community can lose sustainable development. Winning quickly but losing confidence and reputation can sometimes lose even more.
From there, the message is, if you do not achieve today's goals, then look at it with Humility, keep your dignity and use it to start a new journey. Today's lesson will certainly be a springboard for better results tomorrow.
