This is the first destination of Party and State leaders right after the 14th Congress, as the General Secretary emphasized: Expressing gratitude, deep feelings and trust of the Party in the Vietnamese working class in the era of building a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy socialist Vietnam.
That concern is not only limited to words of encouragement but also to specific policies and measures to protect the rights of workers and laborers. To ensure the long-term development of the working class, the Party has identified improving the material and spiritual life of workers as an important task. This not only helps workers stabilize their lives but also creates motivation for them to strive to achieve higher efficiency in their work.
Policies such as investing in housing renovation for workers, building entertainment areas, and strengthening programs to care for workers' lives are proof of the Party's concern for the lives of workers and laborers.
One of the notable points in this visit is the requirement for responsibility of the Trade Union organization. General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "The Trade Union must truly be a reliable support for workers: Strengthen dialogue, grasp thoughts and aspirations, promptly solve problems arising right from the grassroots level. Pay special attention to the work of developing party members among workers directly involved in production, in order to maintain and deepen the nature of the working class of the Party in the new conditions.
In recent years, especially in nearly 5 years of implementing Resolution 02 of the Politburo on innovating the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation, the Trade Union organization has affirmed its role in protecting the rights of union members, workers, and laborers and pioneering in ensuring the sustainable development of workers, improving skills, promoting the application of technology and improving the working environment.
The General Secretary also requested that in the new context, workers not only need to have solid skills, but also must master new technologies.
In the opposite direction, with the attention of the Party, State and Trade Union organization, each union member and worker must also clearly define their role and responsibility in the face of the new opportunities of the country. Disciplined and modern working style, promoting creativity and innovation in work associated with lifelong learning must be as regular and continuous as "daily meals and drinks".
The visit and Tet greetings of General Secretary To Lam and Party and State leaders bring many valuable messages, creating new belief and motivation for the labor force of Quang Ninh in particular and the whole country in general in the period of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress, in accordance with the spirit of "All victory must come to us" that the General Secretary set out in the post-Congress article.
