Although he has passed the age of 90, Mr. Vu Huu Le is still attached to the workshop in Nam Cuong ward, Lao Cai province, guiding workers to produce machinery products to serve farmers every day. Dedication is one of the factors that makes him special: He was honored twice at the Vietnam Glory Program in 2022 and 2026.
In the South, there is a "female general" who made a great contribution to making Safoco Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (SAFOCO) a leading enterprise in the processed food production industry in Vietnam. That is Labor Hero Pham Thi Thu Hong - General Director of SAFOCO. From a food store in District 10 after the liberation of the South, SAFOCO has developed into SAFOCO Foodstuff Enterprise. To date, the enterprise has 8,500 sales points nationwide, products are present in supermarkets, convenience stores and are exported to more than 45 countries.
Mr. Vu Huu Le and Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hong are typical examples honored at the 2026 Vietnam Glory Program with the theme "Creating and Contributing".
Creativity and dedication, understood in a broad sense, is persistent, responsible, tireless labor for the common good and the ability to create new values, building a foundation for the community and the country to continue to develop.
But in a narrow sense, each worker today can participate in the process of creating and contributing in their own way. These may just be new ideas to improve skills and productivity. It may also be the spirit of learning to make today a little better than yesterday in work.
Therefore, honoring individuals and collectives in the Vietnam Glory Program is not only to recognize the achievements that have been achieved but also to honor people who know how to turn aspirations into actions, turn difficulties into motivation, and turn creative labor into practical values. Moreover, those examples will become a fire of inspiration, strongly arousing the spirit of innovation and creativity, and encouraging the good and the beautiful in society.
The value and spirit of Vinh Quang Viet Nam 2026, as Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong emphasized at the press conference on the program: "Will add motivation for each collective and individual to continue to compete in good labor, improve productivity; thereby making practical contributions to the cause of building a rapid and sustainable Vietnam".
