5 victims died in restaurant fire in Ho Chi Minh City

On July 27, Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City said that 5 victims in the restaurant fire that occurred on July 11 died due to extremely severe burns.

According to medical records, Cho Ray Hospital, at the time of admission, all 5 patients had respiratory burns, burn shock, respiratory failure, coma, and poor prognosis.

The patients include: Mr. N.Q. H. (56 years old) with 3rd degree burns of about 80%; Ms. L.N. T. (44 years old) with 98% burns of body area, about 80% 3rd degree burns; Ms. P.T. T. with about 60% burns; Ms. A.K. L. (48 years old) with 2nd and 3rd degree burns of about 60%, acute kidney damage, severe metabolic acidosis; Mr. N.T. T. (51 years old) with 3rd degree burns of about 60% of body.

All 5 patients at the time of emergency transfer from Gia Dinh People's Hospital to Cho Ray Hospital were quickly given sedatives by doctors, breathed evenly through endotracheal tubes, continuous blood filtration (CRRT) and were closely monitored at the Burn Department, Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. After 2 weeks of intensive treatment, despite the efforts of doctors and nurses to save them, 5 patients did not survive.

Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the evening of July 11, a fire occurred on Ngo Duc Ke street, Binh Thanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City, causing many injuries.

6 patients were treated at Gia Dinh People's Hospital. After that, 5 critical cases were transferred to Cho Ray Hospital for intensive treatment.
