On July 13, according to a report from Gia Dinh People's Hospital, the hospital initially received victims in the fire and explosion that occurred at 8:00 PM on July 11, 2026 at the same address on Ngo Duc Ke street, Binh Thanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Immediately after that, all 6 victims were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment in a state of burns and smoke inhalation due to fire and explosion.
Due to the very serious condition of 5 out of 6 patients, they were transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for emergency treatment. The specific hospitalization condition of each victim is as follows:
Ms. Â. K. L. (born in 1978) was diagnosed with second- and third-degree fire-induced skin burns covering 60% of her head and face, arms on both sides, chest and abdomen, respiratory burns, acute kidney damage inuresis; Ms. P.T. T. (born in 1996) was diagnosed with first-second-degree skin burns covering 60% of her head and face, limbs, chest and abdomen, and respiratory burns.
Ms. L.N. T. (born in 1982) was diagnosed with fire burns covering an area of about 98% degree II, 80% degree III of the whole body, respiratory burns; Mr. N.T. T. (born in 1973) was diagnosed with degree III burns covering over 60% of the head, face, limbs, chest and abdomen; Mr. N.Q. H. (born in 1970) suffered degree III fire burns covering an area of 80%, head, face, limbs, chest and abdomen, respiratory burns.
Currently, all 5 seriously ill patients are being sedated, breathing evenly through endotracheal tubes, continuous blood filtration (CRRT) and are being closely monitored at the Burn Department, Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
The lightest case, Ms. H.T. K T. (born in 1980), suffered degree I-II burns scattered on her arms and forearms on both sides with a burn area of about 2%. The patient's condition is currently awake, in good contact, breathing fresh air, vital signs stable and is being continuously monitored at the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Gia Dinh People's Hospital.
According to the victim's family, at about 8 pm on July 11, 2026, the victims went to eat at a restaurant on Ngo Duc Ke street, Binh Thanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City when the restaurant suddenly caught fire, a loud explosion accompanied caused the victims to unfortunately encounter an accident.
