Specifically, gastrointestinal and neurological surgery recorded the highest number of cases, with 51 cases each specialty; followed by orthopedics with 43 cases, multiple injuries 16 cases and urology 14 cases.
The remaining specialties include ear - nose - throat 12 cases, liver - gallbladder - pancreas surgery 11 cases, other specialties 9 cases, vascular surgery 6 cases, chest surgery 6 cases and eye surgery 6 cases.
For specialized surgeries, the number of cases performed was 50 on August 29, 49 on August 30, 52 on August 31, 39 on September 1 and 35 on September 2.
Besides surgical activities, the demand for blood during the holidays is also high. The hospital used 526 units of 350 ml blood in 5 days. The amount of blood used during the holidays increased by 8.7% compared to the same period in 2025, from 484 to 526 units.
