On July 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health held a launching ceremony, officially putting Binh Duong General Hospital Branch 2 in Bac Tan Uyen commune into operation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tang Chi Thuong - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that Facility 2 going into operation will bring the quality of a first-class hospital to serve medical examination and treatment for people in the Bac Tan Uyen area. This is one of the solutions of the Department of Health to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for people in remote areas of the central area of Ho Chi Minh City. In the near future, there will be 7 more hospitals in Binh Duong region linked with major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to provide medical examination and treatment for people.
Representatives of Binh Duong General Hospital said that in the early stages of operation, Facility 2 is organized with a planned scale of 60 beds. At the same time, Department of Examination 2 is deployed with specialized clinics to improve the quality of patient service. The Emergency Area operates continuously 24/24 hours, with sufficient capacity to receive and handle common emergency cases, ensuring the process of consultation and inter-agency transfer between the two facilities for cases exceeding professional capacity.

The hospital does not stop at maintaining basic medical examination and treatment activities, but implements the construction of Facility 2 to become a general hospital with comprehensive treatment capacity for the Bac Tan Uyen area and neighboring localities. The focus is on improving the quality of inpatient treatment for the elderly and people with chronic diseases; developing health care services for workers in industrial zones and clusters such as periodic health check-ups, occupational health check-ups" - Dr. Le Ngoc Long - Director of Binh Duong General Hospital shared.

Reducing travel time and costs for people
According to records, previously, people had to travel about 35 km to go to Binh Duong General Hospital at the main facility and travel about 55 km to go to central hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. When Binh Duong General Hospital facility 2 goes into operation, it will help people reduce travel time and save costs.
