After merging and reorganizing, Binh Duong General Hospital will have its main facility at No. 5 Pham Ngoc Thach street, Phu Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City and facility 2 is the old Bac Tan Uyen Regional Medical Center located on DT 746 road, Tan Thanh 2 hamlet, Bac Tan Uyen commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to records, the Bac Tan Uyen Regional Medical Center was established in 2014 with a scale of 60 beds. To date, the unit is still in a state of human resource shortage, making it difficult to effectively implement medical examination and treatment activities in the new situation. In addition, the unit also faces many difficulties in prolonged financial work.
The merger of this medical facility into Binh Duong General Hospital solves issues of management, finance, and facilities. At the same time, it improves the quality of medical examination and treatment for people in the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to direct the implementation of the transfer of resources in the original state at the Bac Tan Uyen Regional Medical Center to Binh Duong General Hospital in accordance with regulations. At the same time, guide Binh Duong General Hospital to reorganize the apparatus and facilities to put facility 2 into operation.
Talking to reporters, a representative of Binh Duong General Hospital said that they are implementing the above decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health in the merger. It is expected that the merger will be completed and Binh Duong General Hospital's 2nd facility in Bac Tan Uyen commune will be put into operation in July 2026.
