A teacher who has been teaching for 30 years hopes to return to her students one day

On November 19, the Board of Directors and leaders of departments and rooms of K Hospital met, talked, visited and presented gifts to patients who are teachers being treated at K Hospital.

Patient Trinh Thi Tuyet (53 years old, Quang Ninh), who has 30 years of teaching experience and is being treated for cancer at the Department of Internal Medicine 1, shared: "Today, my colleagues and I - all teachers from many localities - are cared for and encouraged by the hospital. This is not only a material gift but also a sharing and respect for those working in the teaching profession like us, a companionship when we are in the most difficult times".

Ms. Tuyet emotionally added that during the 7 months of treatment, what made her determined and also the biggest motivation was her desire to soon return to the school where she had been attached to for many years.

"The patients and I will try to treat them to return to the podium soon. That belief has always been in me, Ms. Tuyet confided.

The story of patient Bui Thi Minh Trang (35 years old, Hai Phong) moved many people. She is a preschool teacher with 12 years of experience in the profession and was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer when she was 22nd pregnant. At week 35, she gave birth to a baby boy who was not yet born. 10 days after giving birth, she started taking the first chemical shot at K Hospital. To treat the disease, she was forced to stay away from her two young daughters and her newborn son.

With eyes full of hope, Ms. Trang shared: Today, receiving the attention of the hospital and the teachers with the same illness, I told myself to try my best to treat it and return to my children soon. The baby boy has only had a few days left, I just hope to hug him and be a support for the 3 children. I also miss my school, my teaching job every day. I hope that one day in the near future will come true.

Teachers receive gifts of gratitude, giving them more determination to fight against illness

Representatives of hospital leaders and specialized units directly visited each hospital bed, sent gifts and wishes to the teachers being treated. The asking questions are asking kindness, the gifts are not large in material things but contain sincere feelings, helping patients relieve pain and clearly feel the companionship of the medical team during the most difficult period.

Speaking at the program, Prof. Dr. Le Van Quang - Director of K Hospital - said that the hospital always considers the work of "repaying gratitude" as an important task in addition to expertise, especially prioritizing activities of gratitude and support for patients in difficult circumstances, especially those working in the teaching profession.

He emphasized that this is an opportunity to educate the younger generation and the medical team about the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source, respecting teachers and priests, and at the same time encouraging each cadre to continue to practice, spread kindness, and maintain the image of K Hospital as a place to "Wish for hope - Receive faith".

Through the program, K Hospital hopes to spread the spirit of sharing, calling on the community to accompany, and adding determination so that teachers who are being treated for cancer can soon return to life and the podium.
