The scientific conference is themed "Advances in Ophthalmology: Clinical Practice & Innovation" (Advances in Ophthalmology: Clinical Practice & Innovation). The event is a specialized academic forum for ophthalmologists, surgeons and refractive ophthalmology experts nationwide to jointly update on the latest medical advances.
The conference took place under the chairmanship of a professional council led by BS CKII Nguyen Dang Dung - Director of DND International Eye Hospital System. In the context of medical technology making extremely strong progress, quickly bringing scientific achievements into clinical practice is the key to improving accuracy as well as optimizing treatment effectiveness.
Over 15 years of formation and development, from an initial facility, DND International Eye Hospital has continuously expanded its scale into an international standard system with modern hospitals located in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Hai Duong and Saigon.

DND is committed to pioneering the application of advanced techniques, focusing on developing a team of highly specialized doctors and cooperating in technology transfer with advanced ophthalmology centers in the US, Japan, Singapore... taking treatment quality as the focus to meet the increasing needs of patients in the modern era. Standardizing clinical practice and personalizing treatment for each patient is the guiding principle for the hospital to improve the standards of vision care for the community.
At the conference, the thematic report of Specialist Doctor II Pham Thi Hang - Head of the Reffraction Department of DND International Eye Hospital brought a deep insight into the challenges and opportunities in treating presbyopia. According to Dr. Hang, presbyopia today is not simply vision decline due to age but has become a major concern for the middle-aged population group. These are people who are still in the prime of working age, with a high need to maintain their ability to see clearly at many distances to serve work and improve the quality of life in the digital environment.
The highlight in the presentation is the topic "Presbyond in the digital age". The Presbyond Laser Blended Vision method uses laser excimer to treat both eyes simultaneously based on each person's individual visual characteristics. As a result, patients achieve clear vision at long, short and intermediate distances while maintaining good contrast and stereoscopic vision.
In addition to solutions for presbyopia, the conference also introduced many other key techniques such as SMILE Pro surgery for patients with low nearsightedness by Dr. Bui Quang Tuan, or treatment experience from 1,200 SmartSight NOVA cases. Experts such as Dr. Dang Thi Nhu Quynh, Dr. Doan Anh and Dr. Dinh Yen Luc also contributed important reports on clinical evidence in refractive surgery, treatment of macular pores and prevention of intraocular infections.
