On July 13, Hue Central Hospital said that it had just organized a discharge ceremony for patient N.Q. V. (residing in Quang Tri province) after a successful liver transplant.

This is the 11th liver transplant patient at the hospital, continuing to mark progress in the field of organ transplantation.

The transplant was performed in the program of taking and transplanting multiple tissues and organs from a brain-dead donor, bringing life opportunities to 6 patients. This is also the second time Hue Central Hospital has been fully autonomous in the process of taking and transplanting organs including the heart, liver, two kidneys and two corneas.

According to the hospital, during post-transplant treatment, the patient encountered some complications. However, thanks to the coordination of many specialties and the experience of the treatment team, the complications were treated promptly. Currently, the patient's health is stable, liver function is recovering well and is eligible for discharge.

The success of the transplant continues to affirm the capacity to master the entire professional process of Hue Central Hospital, from assessing donors, taking and preserving organs to surgery, resuscitation and post-transplant care, creating a foundation for the in-depth development of multi-organ transplantation techniques.

According to Hue Central Hospital, each successful transplant not only brings life opportunities for patients but also spreads the humanistic meaning of organ and tissue donation.
