On July 22, Mr. Mai Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Department of Health, signed and issued urgent document No. 653/SYT-NYT requesting to rectify the practice of medical examination and treatment facilities throughout the city.
The Da Nang Department of Health sent a document to the People's Committees of communes, wards and medical examination and treatment facilities (KBCB) in the city, requesting to strengthen the rectification of practice activities in the health sector.
According to the Department of Health, in recent times, the authorities have discovered a number of establishments and individuals practicing medical examination and treatment violating legal regulations, such as using fake diplomas and certificates; practicing without a license; impersonating doctors; providing services outside the permitted scope... These acts pose a potential risk of causing complications, seriously affecting people's health.
The Department of Health requires medical examination and treatment facilities to strictly comply with the provisions of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023 and guiding documents; operate only when fully meeting the conditions on facilities, equipment, human resources, etc. At the same time, it is necessary to review the practice information of personnel and strictly handle cases of using fake documents and advertising in violation of licensed scope.
For public health officials, the Department of Health recommends that units closely monitor the practice of overtime; do not let the situation of civil servants working at facilities that have not been licensed or have not registered to practice with the Department.
The Department also requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to step up propaganda and instruct people to look up information about licensed facilities at https://opendata.danang.gov.vn; at the same time, strengthen inspection, post-inspection, and publicization of results of handling violations so that people can grasp and prevent them.
Localities are required to closely coordinate with the Department of Health, the Police and relevant agencies to inspect and examine beauty establishments and cosmetic establishments with signs of illegal practice and false advertising. Establishments that are not qualified or have stopped operating for more than 1 year will also have their licenses reviewed and revoked according to regulations.
