Car falls into river after a cable break in Dien Bien

Dien Bien - A cable broke on a suspension bridge in Thanh Yen border commune, causing a car to fall into the river, injuring 3 people on the bus.

At more than 8:00 a.m. on July 21, at the Pa Thom suspension bridge across the Nam Nu River, in Pa Xa Lao village, Thanh Yen commune (formerly Pa Thom commune), Dien Bien province, a cable suddenly broke, causing a car to fall into the river, injuring 3 people on the bus.

According to information from people in Pa Xa Lao village, Thanh Yen commune, at the time of the incident, there were a total of 3 people in the car. Fortunately, the villagers promptly responded and took the victims to Thanh Yen Commune Health Station (old Pa Thom Commune) for first aid.

Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - Chairman of Thanh Yen Commune People's Committee, confirmed the information of the incident and said that the commune is directly directing the inspection and handling of the incident at the scene.

Currently, the authorities have quickly arrived at the scene to investigate and verify the cause of the incident. The work of assessing the damage and proposing a remedial plan is being urgently deployed.
