On May 23, news from Hoang Anh Gia Lai University Medical Center Hospital said that after about 24 hours of surgery, the baby's legs gradually turned pink and warm again.
Currently, the baby is awake, pulse and blood pressure levels are stable, and will continue to be closely monitored and actively treated in the coming days.
Previously, on May 21, baby Anh Th. (born in 2019, Ia Bang commune, Gia Lai) was hospitalized after a serious traffic accident while walking when he was hit by a truck.
At the time of admission, the patient was in critical condition, with severe deformities in both thighs and legs. In particular, the baby had skin peeling off the entire left thigh and skin peeling off, muscle peeling off almost the entire right calf; these are very severe injuries, with the risk of blood loss and affecting the ability to preserve limbs.
To race against time, the hospital deployed 2 surgical teams at the same time to handle both legs for the patient.
For many consecutive hours, doctors proceeded to cut and remove the lesions, refix the adhesion to the tendons of the right heel, and at the same time treat complex skin peeling wounds in the left thigh and right calf, with the goal of not only saving the patient's life but also trying their best to preserve his legs.
