Saving the life of a man stabbed by a beng

    Quang Binh - A man was stabbed by a beng while digging a well, luckily he was given timely emergency care and recovered after surgery.

    On June 28, the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital (Quang Binh) said that doctors had saved the life of a patient who had a serious accident while digging a well.

    Mr. L.V.D (43 years old, residing in Tay Trach commune, Bo Trach district) was hospitalized in a state of severe pain with many injuries to the abdomen and chest.

    While digging into a well, he unfortunately fell to the bottom of the well from a height of about 2m. Beng plant at the bottom of the well was stuck from the anus to his abdomen and chest. The patient was taken up with a rope and a beng saw that fell out of his body.

    Doctor Le Manh Ha, Head of the General Surgery Department, said that the patient had many complicated wounds such as anorectal tear, wounds that penetrated the abdomen and chest.

    After consultation and surgery, the patient recovered well and was discharged from the hospital in a stable condition, able to walk and care for the wound at home.
