On May 14, information from the Nha Trang Beach Rescue Team under the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, Khanh Hoa province, said that rescuers promptly rescued an elderly man who suddenly fainted while swimming in the sea.
According to initial information, on the morning of May 14, in the Hon Chong beach area, Bac Nha Trang ward, Mr. N.T. A (born 1949, residing in Bac Nha Trang ward) and his relatives went to the beach to swim when they suddenly buried their heads in the water and fell unconscious.
Discovering the incident, the victim's family immediately shouted and called for support from the rescue force and people around.
At this time, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh Tuyen, an employee of the Nha Trang beach rescue team who was on duty near the incident area, quickly jumped into the sea to bring the victim ashore.
After bringing the victim ashore and taking off his life jacket, Mr. A. fell into cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest.
Mr. Tuyen immediately took initial first aid measures such as chest compression, artificial respiration and recovery support. After Mr. Tuyen's efforts, the victim gradually showed signs of recovery.
Immediately after that, medical staff arrived and took Mr. A. to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for further treatment.
According to the commander of the Nha Trang beach rescue team, the victim's health has gradually stabilized, but doctors are still monitoring further.
