Information from Da Nang City People's Committee said that from July 1, 2026, the city will organize the implementation of periodic health check-ups or free screening for people, striving to achieve a universal coverage rate in the first year of implementation.
From 2027 onwards, the program will be maintained annually, ensuring that each citizen has a periodic health check-up or screening at least once a year according to the roadmap and guidance of the Ministry of Health.
According to the plan, the city sets a target to annually achieve 100% of groups of subjects under management being listed, monitored and organized for periodic health check-ups or screening check-ups at least once a year.
At the same time, 100% of communes, wards, and special zones deploy propaganda and organize health check-ups for people in the area; at least 95% of people's electronic health records are fully updated, connected to the medical examination and treatment management information system of grassroots health care and the health insurance assessment system.
The target grouping plan and specific implementation responsibilities for each group include the armed forces group; workers participating in compulsory social insurance; students of kindergartens, preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools; students and trainees of vocational education institutions, universities, colleges, and intermediate schools in the area.
The above-mentioned groups of subjects are entitled to health check-ups at public or private medical examination and treatment facilities that meet the conditions for health check-ups.
People who do not belong to the above groups are organized for examination at health stations, regional health centers or hospitals by the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones.
The City People's Committee requests that, for 2026, the review, listing and development of implementation plans be completed before June 30, 2026.
From 2027 onwards, the review, update of the list and planning will be carried out periodically every year, completed before March 31 every year.
At the same time, regularly update cases of population and labor mobility, students and other arising subjects in the process of implementing the Plan.
