For localities that have implemented vaccination but have not achieved the disease prevention rate as prescribed, it is necessary to urgently review and organize supplementary vaccination for livestock that have not been vaccinated, newly arising livestock, livestock that have been vaccinated but have expired immunity period...
Report the progress of periodic vaccination weekly to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (through the Sub-Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine) to summarize reports according to regulations.
Strengthen monitoring to detect early suspected cases of FMD in livestock at establishments and households raising livestock, especially in border areas (for localities with borders).
When detecting suspected cases, it is necessary to promptly report to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (through the City Sub-Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine), and at the same time take samples to send for virus type testing; investigate the outbreak and implement measures to control the FMD outbreak to prevent the epidemic from spreading.
Strengthen control of transportation, prevent smuggling of animals and animal products in border areas, transit areas, wholesale markets, and establishments collecting, trading, and slaughtering livestock and poultry.
Close coordination between the veterinary force and the Police, Border Guards, and Market Management in preventing illegal transportation of animals and animal products across borders.
Promote information and propaganda work; mobilize people, especially people in areas near the border, not to participate in buying and selling, transporting livestock of unknown origin, illegally transporting across the border.
Guiding farmers to strictly practice biosafety farming measures according to the guidance of the Director of the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine in Decision No. 05/QD-CNTY-KHCNMT dated March 18, 2026.
Proactively develop a plan to respond to outbreaks caused by LMLM serotype SAT1 virus, estimate funding, materials, chemicals, human resources, and means to serve monitoring, sampling, outbreak handling and other disease prevention and control activities.
