Dak Lak distributes 25,000 doses of measles vaccine to prevent epidemics

Dak Lak - The Center for Disease Control will provide 25,000 doses of Measles - Rubella vaccine to vaccinate children from 1 to 10 years old.

On March 24, the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) said that the unit had provided a total of 25,000 doses of Measles - Rubella vaccine to districts, towns and cities in the area for vaccination for children.

Of which, children aged 1 to 5 were given 9,750 doses, children aged 6 to 10 were given 15,250 doses.

Previously, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Health to coordinate with relevant units and local authorities to assess the measles situation and develop a disease vaccination plan according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, ensuring that the epidemic does not break out.

The Provincial People's Committee also requires that the vaccination must be implemented quickly, ensuring adequate human resources, materials, and equipment and completed in March 2025.

Mr. Hoang Hai Phuc, Director of CDC Dak Lak emphasized that localities need to proactively make a list of children in risk areas for timely vaccination.

The provincial CDC will continuously provide vaccines, ensuring no interruption. In addition, health centers of districts, towns and cities are required to preserve and distribute vaccines to communes 1 to 2 days before the vaccination time.
