On August 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health held a launching ceremony for the two satellite emergency stations 115 of Ba Ria Hospital and Vung Tau Hospital.
These are 2 new stations called Emergency Station 47, Emergency Station 48, located in the out-of-hospital emergency network 115 of Ho Chi Minh City, and are the first stations in the area of communes, wards, and special zones in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau area.
Previously, the 115 emergency department at the two hospitals was deployed but operated under the management of each hospital. The establishment of the current Satellite Emergency Station 115 will direct the synchronous route for this area.
Doctor Nguyen Duy Long - Director of Ho Chi Minh City 115 Emergency Center - said that previously, out-of-hospital emergency work in this area had not been coordinated synchronously, with unified procedures and management. Now, all emergency calls at the beginning of the 115 in Ho Chi Minh City are routed to the 115 Emergency Center; then consultation and coordination are concentrated, helping management to be more unified, synchronous and methodical throughout the system.
Doctor Tran Ngoc Trieu - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health - commented that the synchronous deployment of the out-of-hospital emergency system is an important step in the roadmap to implement Project 912 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on developing a professional out-of-hospital emergency system until 2030 and beyond.
Therefore, Dr. Trieu requested that both hospitals need to prepare well in terms of human resources, equipment and medical equipment; send human resources to participate in training courses transferred by the 115 Emergency Center, to serve well the people as tourists in the area.
At the same time, organize professional standardization of out-of-hospital emergency care not only for medical staff in emergency departments, but also for staff in clinical departments. This is to be ready to participate in all emergency situations, especially situations related to mass casualties.
"When the network of satellite stations 115 continues to be expanded, people will be supported faster, waiting time will be reduced, life saving ability will be increased and the quality of emergency medical care will be improved throughout Ho Chi Minh City," said Dr. Trieu.
