On the morning of August 12, Squadron 129 of the Navy received a notice from Da Tay Island (specifically Truong Sa area) about a fisherman having an accident while fishing.

The victim was Mr. Tran Van Ty (born in 1989, residing in Lam Dong), crew member of fishing boat BTh-96617TS captained by Mr. Tran Hon (from the same hometown).

On board were 11 fishermen, practicing diving, departing from Phu Quy port on August 6.

The doctor on Da Tay island diagnosed Ty with low blood pressure due to deep diving, with symptoms of quadriplegic muscle pain, weakness and difficulty walking, and urgently transferred him to Truong Sa island infirmary for emergency care.

Immediately after receiving the patient, officers and soldiers of Ship 937 promptly provided medical care, encouraged spirit and ensured safety throughout the journey.

When the ship docked on Truong Sa Lon Island, the patient was handed over to Truong Sa Island Infirmary for further treatment.

Mr. Ty is currently being fluidized, given oxygen and is in stable condition.
