On the evening of October 14, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) informed that, based on the Food Safety Law No. 55/2010/QH12, Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018 of the Government and Document No. 4925/CV-CSKT dated September 24, 2025 of the Investigation Police Agency, Hung Yen Provincial Police on the announcement and propaganda related to poor quality vegetable oil products and counterfeit goods, the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of Hung Yen Province has just issued an urgent warning to consumers.
According to this agency, through the investigation and verification process at GF Vietnam Food Company Limited, Yen Phu village, Nguyen Van Linh commune, Hung Yen province, the authorities discovered that the enterprise produced and traded many vegetable oil products with the brands: CHICA, CHICA Soy Oil, TAMIN GOLD, GOLDMAX, TOR and MEGAFOOD.
The results of inspection and examination show that the above products are poor quality, counterfeit, and have been distributed to many provinces and cities across the country.
To protect consumer rights, the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Hung Yen province recommends that agencies, units, organizations and people not buy, sell or use vegetable oil products with the above brands. At the same time, it is recommended that people coordinate with competent authorities in monitoring, detecting and promptly handling cases of circulation of goods that do not ensure quality and counterfeit goods to prevent the risk of affecting public health.
Previously, in September 2025, Hung Yen Provincial Police also discovered that GoldWin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Oai Industrial Park, Hanoi) produced and traded fake, poor quality cooking oil under the GoldWin Cooking Oil brand.
Initial investigation results show that these products do not ensure food safety but have been widely distributed in the market, posing a potential risk to the health of consumers.
