Ho Chi Minh City - After more than 3 months of free health check-ups for people, from May 25 to September 6, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City has had more than 4 million people examined and electronic health records created.

With more than 4 million people being examined and having electronic health records created, equivalent to about 31% of the population of Ho Chi Minh City. To achieve this result, the governments of wards, communes, and special zones coordinated with health stations, public and non-public hospitals, and clinics to organize many examination sessions suitable for each area.

At the grassroots level, health stations both maintain regular medical examination and treatment activities, and organize examinations, screening, data updates and manage people's health. Hospitals and medical examination and treatment facilities also mobilize human resources, equipment, and coordinate to support grassroots healthcare.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the participation of people is an important factor for the program to achieve progress. Each visit not only helps detect disease risks early but also contributes to supplementing data into electronic health records, serving long-term health monitoring and management.

However, with the target of 12,774,459 people, the number of people who have been examined currently only reaches more than 31%, meaning nearly 9 million people still need to be accessed, examined and screened in the near future.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that the health sector continues to coordinate with local authorities, medical facilities and collaborators to expand the program coverage.

The goal of the program is not only to complete the number of people examined but also to gradually form complete health data, helping people to be monitored, managed and continuously cared for health right from the community.
