On the morning of June 26, Bach Mai Hospital facility 2 in Ninh Binh officially went into operation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang affirmed that the opening of Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh is an important milestone, showing the determination of the Party, State and Government in bringing public investment resources to serve the people.
He praised the Ministry of Health, Bach Mai Hospital, ministries, branches, localities and the team of officials, engineers, experts, and contractors for their efforts to put the project into operation after many years of obstacles. At the same time, he acknowledged the urgent preparation of the collective of doctors, medical staff, and hospital staff in terms of human resources, expertise and equipment to be ready to serve patients from the first day.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the hospital to continue to promote technical transfer, apply science and technology, train human resources, aiming to become a final-line hospital in the region, contributing to improving the quality of people's health care.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan affirmed that putting Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh facility into operation is an important milestone for the health sector, realizing the goal of bringing high-quality medical services closer to the people, reducing the burden on central-level hospitals and improving the medical examination and treatment capacity of the region.
According to the Minister, after many years of removing difficulties in mechanisms, legality and investment, the project has been officially completed, opening up opportunities for people in the southern Red River Delta and North Central Coast to access modern medical techniques right in their localities.
The hospital is built according to the model "One Bach Mai Hospital - One quality standard", operating uniformly with Hanoi facilities in terms of expertise, management, technical procedures and team of experts. With a scale of 1,000 beds, more than 11,000 technical lists, 37 departments, rooms and 1,300 staff and modern equipment, the hospital is expected to become a specialized medical examination and treatment, emergency - resuscitation center of the region.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital - said that Ninh Binh facility is a unified part of the Bach Mai Hospital system. A team of leading professors and doctors will directly provide medical examination and treatment, consultation, training and technology transfer, ensuring that people enjoy treatment quality equivalent to the main facility in Hanoi.
In addition to the task of medical examination and treatment, Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh is also oriented to become a training, scientific research and technology transfer center for medical facilities in the region, contributing to improving the capacity of the local health system and reducing pressure on end-line hospitals.
From early morning, a large number of people were present to register for examinations at specialized departments. The activities of receiving, streaming, examining patients and performing paraclinical tests were organized methodically, ensuring that patients were served quickly. In particular, on the first day of operation, the hospital also implemented a free health check-up program and dispensed medicine to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution according to the announced plan.
Dr. Hoang Trung Dung, Deputy Head of the Outpatient Department, Bach Mai Hospital, said that in just the first day of official operation, Bach Mai Hospital facility 2 in Ninh Binh received more than 1,500 medical examinations and treatments, marking a favorable start after many years of waiting and completing the project.
