Uniform quality between Hanoi and Ninh Binh
On June 26, Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh will officially go into operation, marking a new development step of one of the largest end-line hospitals in the country in the strategy of bringing high-quality medical services closer to people in the southern Red River Delta region.
Not only is it an expansion in scale, this is also considered a strategic step to reduce the gap in access to healthcare between the central and local levels, helping people benefit from specialized techniques without having to move to Hanoi.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, preparations for the official operation day have been implemented synchronously for more than a year. The hospital has mobilized large resources to complete facilities, build a management system and train human resources.
To date, 1,288 professors, associate professors, doctors, doctors, nurses, technicians, pharmacists and management staff have been trained, arranged and assigned specific tasks at the Ninh Binh facility.
The hospital is invested in a modern infrastructure system with operating rooms, intensive care units, emergency centers, diagnostic imaging, testing and treatment meeting advanced standards. All equipment is built synchronously with the Hanoi facility, allowing the deployment of many specialized techniques on par with major medical centers in the region.
According to the leader of Bach Mai Hospital, the most important difference of the new model is that the two facilities in Hanoi and Ninh Binh will operate on the same digital management system, with the same professional process and quality standards.
We do not have two different Bach Mai Hospitals, but only one unified Bach Mai Hospital, operating on two facilities with the same professional quality, the same service culture and the same management standards" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co emphasized.
Right from the initial stage, the Ninh Binh facility will synchronously deploy Bach Mai's strengths in specialties such as emergency, intensive care, cardiology, stroke, oncology, neurologistry, respiratory medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, diagnostic imaging, testing and specialized surgery.
The hospital also put into operation an intelligent management system directly connected to the Hanoi facility, allowing remote consultation, online operation and quality monitoring in real time.
Notably, the head of the hospital committed to being directly present regularly at the new facility. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co said that he has registered to work periodically in Ninh Binh for at least 3 days per week.
I want to send a very clear message that the leader must take the lead. When leaders are directly present at the new facility, working together, sharing difficulties and taking responsibility together, it will create motivation and confidence for the professional team to feel secure in their work," he said.
Affirming the determination to build a high-quality medical center in the area, the Director of Bach Mai Hospital said that the goal of the Ninh Binh facility is not only to reduce the burden on Hanoi but also to bring the best values of Bach Mai Hospital closer to the people.
I would like to affirm that the quality of medical examination and treatment at the Ninh Binh facility will be at least equal to the Hanoi facility and in many fields can be surpassed thanks to more modern and synchronous facilities. Bach Mai only has one. Two facilities but one team, one management system, one professional quality and one mission to serve the people," he affirmed.
Bach Mai Train" connects two facilities
On the same day Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh branch went into operation, the railway industry will open the "Bach Mai Train" to serve the travel of medical staff between Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Trains PL1/PL2 only stop at Hanoi, Giap Bat and Phu Ly stations, combined with shuttle buses to pick up and drop off doctors and nurses to the hospital.
This model helps to regularly rotate high-quality professional teams between the two facilities, ensuring unity in medical examination and treatment activities. Not only solving travel needs, the "Bach Mai Train" is also expected to become a connecting symbol, contributing to bringing high-quality medical services closer to people in the Southern Hanoi area and neighboring provinces.
