Ready to receive patients from June 26th.
To prepare for operation, Bach Mai Hospital facility 2 has completed many items in terms of human resources, facilities and equipment.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital, the unit has mobilized 1,288 officials, employees and a team of highly qualified doctors to work at the new facility to ensure stable operation from the early days. Bach Mai Hospital in Ninh Binh will be built according to the principle of "one unified Bach Mai", synchronized in terms of expertise, human resources, management, digital transformation and service quality.
In parallel with human resources work, the hospital has completed operating license procedures, fully prepared medicines, medical supplies, testing chemicals, infection control plans, waste treatment and deployed bidding for service packages to serve operations. The work of ensuring meals for patients and accommodation and travel conditions for officials and employees has also been carefully prepared.
Regarding facilities, the hospital is invested in a synchronous system of modern equipment and a team of leading experts directly involved in medical examination and treatment. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co, the professional quality at Ninh Binh facility is expected to be equivalent, even exceeding the main facility in Hanoi. To date, clinical departments have completed human resources and equipment plans; the operating room system, diagnostic imaging and testing are being completed and inspected to be ready for operation. The hospital also orients the development of Ninh Binh facility into the first "smart hospital" in the public health system, with management software interconnected between Hanoi and Ninh Binh facilities, contributing to improving management efficiency and patient care quality.
Also according to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co, on the occasion of entering the Ninh Binh facility on June 26, Bach Mai Hospital is implementing a free health check-up program for about 5,000 people who are policy beneficiaries in the province from June 26 to July 2.
According to the plan, Bach Mai Hospital facility 2 has a scale of 1,000 beds, more than 11,000 technical categories belonging to 36 specialties.
Viet Duc Hospital facility 2 aims to become a modern surgical center
Viet Duc Friendship Hospital facility 2 in Ninh Binh is also completing the final procedures to prepare for operation. According to the plan, the new facility will officially operate at the end of July 2026.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Hung - Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, the hospital has fully prepared the necessary conditions. Immediately after being completely handed over and completing the licensing procedures, the facility can receive patients within 12 hours.
Facility 2 is built on an area of about 21ha with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system. The entire campus is systematically planned from the treatment area, technical system to auxiliary works, creating favorable conditions for long-term medical examination and treatment activities.
To ensure operational efficiency, the hospital is developing a reasonable allocation plan for technical services between the two facilities. Specialized specialized techniques are still being implemented in Hanoi, while many high-quality surgical services will be deployed in Ninh Binh.
Although designed with a scale of 1,000 beds, the hospital is expected to only operate about 300 beds in the early stages to suit actual needs and avoid wasting resources. Capacity will be gradually expanded according to the number of patients.
The operating model of facility 2 is a general hospital with a focus on developing surgery. In addition to surgical specialties, the hospital still maintains full internal medicine specialties to treat accompanying diseases.
In addition to a modern operating room system, the new facility is also invested in new generation diagnostic imaging equipment and cancer treatment systems, including radiation therapy. The bed allocation between specialties will be adjusted flexibly according to actual needs.
To prepare for operation, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital has proactively recruited and trained personnel many years ago. More than 60 doctors and nurses have been deeply trained to meet professional requirements at the new facility.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Hung added that so far no cases of resignation or transfer have been recorded due to the deployment of facility 2. The hospital has also fully prepared equipment, consumables, accommodation for staff and a plan to transport officials between the two facilities.
