Khanh Hoa starts free health check-ups for people

Khanh Hoa - Nam Nha Trang Ward is one of the first localities in the province to implement periodic health check-ups and free screening for people.

On July 18, information from Yersin Nha Trang General Hospital said that the unit is coordinating with Nam Nha Trang Ward People's Committee to implement a plan for periodic health check-ups and free screening for people in the area in 2026.

According to the plan, from August 7 to August 31, 2026, the program will organize periodic health check-ups and free screenings for more than 27,000 people.

These people belong to groups of subjects including the elderly, people with disabilities, people from near-poor households, people with meritorious services to the revolution, people with chronic diseases and other subjects as prescribed.

To ensure smooth implementation, units have agreed to review and update the accurate list according to each group of subjects; arrange convenient examination locations; prepare sufficient facilities and human resources.

Communication work is also focused on, including guiding people to prepare necessary documents when coming for examination.

The locality plans to send invitations to each citizen eligible for examination, on which the number, examination time frame and necessary information are shown to serve the reception and regulation of people coming for examination.

Mr. Cao Dinh Trung - Vice Chairman of Nam Nha Trang Ward People's Committee - requested relevant departments and units to closely coordinate with residential groups to review and make a complete and accurate list of each subject; develop a plan to organize examinations suitable for each group of people.

At the same time, coordinate with Yersin Nha Trang General Hospital to survey and propose locations to organize examinations to ensure facilities requirements and convenience for people.

Nam Nha Trang ward is one of the first localities in Khanh Hoa province to implement a free health check-up program for people, contributing to the goal of having access to this service for all people in the province by the end of 2026.

According to the plan of Khanh Hoa province, by the end of 2026, 100% of people will have periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once according to regulations.

In 2026, the province prioritizes organizing periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once for subjects specified in point a, clause 2, Article 69 of Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP.
