On September 23, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a plan to implement the Project "Old people participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation" in the province, period 2025 - 2030.
According to the plan, the province aims to have 90% of cadres, members, and elderly people disseminated and raised awareness of digital transformation, green transformation, startups, and job creation by 2030.
Notably, 50% of elderly people will be equipped and mastering basic digital skills, including: Using online public services, shopping and paying online, protecting themselves in cyberspace, exploiting digital platforms suitable to local conditions.
At the same time, the province strives to plant at least 1 million trees, build at least 5 models for the elderly in waste collection and classification at source; 3 models for organic agricultural production, circular economy.
The province also aims to support at least 200 elderly people to start a business, forming 10 startup models, creating jobs for about 1,000 workers.
The plan also aims to have a vision to 2035 with many tasks and solutions: Promoting communication to raise awareness; promoting the role and position of the elderly in the fields of digital transformation and green transformation; improving the capacity of the staff to implement the plan; piloting appropriate models; at the same time promoting scientific research, consulting, criticizing, monitoring and evaluating implementation effectiveness.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee hopes that with the active participation of the elderly, digital transformation, green transformation and start-up activities in the locality will develop sustainably and spread to the community.
