Immediately after receiving information about the accident, the unit sent a mobile emergency team and vehicles to the scene to provide first aid and take the victims to the hospital.
The center also mobilizes a team of doctors and nurses to be on duty to receive and provide emergency care to patients. In total, Krong Buk Medical Center received 38 people in the passenger bus overturning incident. Among them, there was 1 patient trapped in the car, so after many hours he was taken out.
Currently, Krong Buk Medical Center has transferred 11 patients to the Central Highlands General Hospital. At the same time, continue to monitor, screen and transfer to the ward for a number of other patients. All patients are currently in stable health.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Giap - Director of the Central Highlands General Hospital - confirmed that the hospital is mobilizing human resources and means to organize emergency care for patients in traffic accidents.
The unit has received 5 patients, the remaining 6 patients are on their way to the hospital. Of the 5 patients who received it, 1 patient had to have his hand removed, 1 patient had to have his hand amputated.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the accident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. the same day. At the above time, a passenger bus with license plate 50H-550.xx was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh road from Dak Lak to Gia Lai.
While traveling through Krong Buk commune, the passenger bus suddenly plunged into the roadside and overturned. At that time, there were a total of 46 people on the bus.
In response to the incident, local people and authorities used soap to break the car's windows to get the victim out of the car.
The accident left 3 injured people taken to the Central Highlands General Hospital for emergency care.
Many passengers with minor scratches were taken to Krong Buk Medical Center for first aid.
The cause of the accident is being clarified by the authorities.
