The information was gathered from a recent statement by a British defense official, when he admitted that "no one wants to send their troops to Ukraine to sacrifice".
The initiative was initially launched by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in March. Mr. Starmer affirmed his readiness to deploy arms and aircraft, along with other countries to Ukraine to monitor a ceasefire once the conflict with Russia ends.
French President Emmanuel Macron later expressed strong support. Not only that, Mr. Macron also pledged to join the UK in contributing 10,000 troops to the peacekeeping force.
However, other European pillars, including Germany, Poland, Spain and Italy, have expressed reluctance, even refusing to commit to sending troops to this potential mission due to concerns about escalating tensions.
The plan to deploy troops in Ukraine has been a failure since May, after the US refused to provide support. Observers also believe that this is an unfeasible idea because the armies of European countries are facing a serious shortage of personnel.
For its part, Russia has always opposed this plan of Europe.
In April, Secretary of the Russian National Security Council Sergey Shoigu, who was former defense minister, warned that the NATO military visit to Ukraine could lead to a third World War.
Meanwhile, in March, Russian Deputy Security Council Vice Chairman Dmitry Medvedev affirmed that the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine by NATO member states would lead to a full-scale war. Mr. Medvedev emphasized that this war will take place between NATO and Russia.
