    Binh Thuan - A crew member had a work accident when a boat puller hit his head, causing a fractured skull and many other complex injuries and received timely emergency surgery.

    On January 8, An Phuoc General Hospital in Binh Thuan province announced that it had performed emergency surgery to save the life of a seafarer who had a work accident on a ship.

    The victim was a 42-year-old man who was working at sea when a boat hit his head with a complex wound to the forehead, causing brain tissue contusion, frontal skull fracture, intracranial hematoma and severe bleeding. The victim also had complex wounds to the ear and lower leg.

    After performing the CT scan, the doctors consulted and performed emergency surgery. After 2.5 hours of surgery, the patient's skull fragments were treated, his wounds were treated, and he was out of danger. He continued treatment and made good progress.

    The hospital also recommends that fishermen comply with labor safety procedures when working at sea; use full protective equipment and carefully check tools and machinery before operating.
